AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on the origin of the "inner voice" that individuals experience when resolving issues or problems internally. It is suggested that this inner voice arises from the conscious mind, as opposed to the unconscious mind, which lacks direct control over such thoughts. There is also a note that the original question may require more detail for a comprehensive answer, and it is recommended to consider the Mind & Brain Sciences forum for a more suitable discussion.

When one thinks to ones self, ie. trying to resolve an issue or problem alone- what is the origin of our "inner voice"?

well forgive me. I might not understand your question. But I would say that it would come from our conscious mind. as the unconscious mind doesn't have direct control like this.

Im sorry if you meant more detail or more of a how the problem solving occurs.

Please see the philosophy forums guidelines. The original post is too insubstantially developed. Additionally, depending on the exact nature of the question you're thinking of, it may be more appropriate to ask this question in the Mind & Brain Sciences forum.

Thread 'In the early days of electricity, they didn't have wall plugs'
Hello scientists, engineers, etc. I have not had any questions for you recently, so have not participated here. I was scanning some material and ran across these 2 ads. Some houses may have had plugs, but many homes just screwed the appliance into the light socket overhead. Does anyone know when electric wall plugs were in widespread use? 1906 ad DDTJRAC Even big...
