AI Thread Summary
A user reported that their recently started thread in the general discussion section has disappeared without explanation. They speculate it may have been moved to another section, but there is no indication of this, such as a '-moved-' icon. The user is uncertain if they should re-post the thread or if it is simply under moderation. They seek clarity on the situation and express confusion about the absence of their post. The thread is currently in moderation, which may be the reason for its disappearance.

I recently started a thread in the general discussion section but it just vanished. Perhaps the topic was in the wrong section and it is being moved? Although we usually see a '-moved-' icon for awhile after the fact and it is not coming up in the 'threads posted' section on my profile.

Did I screw up somewhere and I should just re-post or is there something I am missing?

I found physics forums and used it to ask questions I was unable to get answered from my textbooks or class lectures. Unfortunately, work and life got in the way and I never got further the freshman courses. Well, here it is 20 years later. I'm in my mid-50s now, and in a...
