Hi all, I need some help!
some info:
Penicillic acid [CAS RN: 90-65-3]: an antibiotic substance produced by several species of Penicillium and Aspergillus
Penicillin G: Used in medicine. It is used in the form of its stable salts (benzathine, potassium, procaine, and sodium)
Penicillin G Procaine [CAS RN: 6130-64-9]: the procaine salt of penicillin G; Chemically designation is (2S,5R,6R)- 3,3-Dimethyl-7-oxo-6-(2-phenylacetamido)-4-thia-1-azabicyclo [3.2.0] heptane-2-carboxylic acid WITH 2-(Diethylamino)ethyl p-aminobenzoate (1:1)I have penicillin g as sodium salt and procaine, but have not and can't find penicillin g as procaine salt.
Is there any way to revert from penicillin sodium salt to penicillic ACID and then to make solution with procaine to get the penicillin as procaine salt (not sodium)? How the salts should be transformed into acids?
