CAn someone explain how sound waves is modulated into Am and FM carrier waves? I only have a poor illustrarion i don't understand.
This discussion clarifies the modulation of sound waves into AM and FM carrier waves. In AM (Amplitude Modulation), the amplitude of the carrier wave is varied in proportion to the sound wave's frequency, while the frequency remains constant. Conversely, in FM (Frequency Modulation), the frequency of the carrier wave is altered based on the amplitude of the sound wave, keeping the amplitude relatively stable. Key components in both processes include microphones, amplifiers, and oscillators, which are essential for converting sound into electromagnetic signals for transmission.
