Im having trouble understating this:

The last part:

DEz=8333N(5/15) where does this come from?

15m is the hight and 5m is the base of the triangle.

It's the horizontal component of DE i.e FDEcosθ
where cosθ = Opposite/Adjacent = (15/5)
 
but isn't cosine adjacent/Hypotenuse?
