Country and western songs about somebody who's dog died then his wife ran off with another fella.
That song could only qualify as sad, iff ...
His wife and the other fella had stolen his pickup, and... gotten hit by a damn ol' train...

Well ok, the dog dying could be somewhat sad. .. :oldtongue:

Adagio in G Minor (Albinoni/Giazotto)

Even if you're not familiar with this title you may have heard it before as it has been used in film and television. I chose this arrangement by Tzvi Erez because the piano brings out the melody quite nicely. Also a couple of interesting facts about this piece:

The usually attributed composer, Tomaso Albinoni, is incorrect. It is believed to be a musical hoax perpetrated by the real composer Remo Giazotto.

Tzvi Erez is an accused fraud artist. Accused of defrauding investors out of more than 6 million dollars.

So here is, in my opinion, one of the saddest and most beautiful pieces of music ever written. Composed by an accused hoaxer and arranged by an accused fraudster. Hope that doesn't spoil it for you: :)
