Hi All!
I have been wanting to learn speech analysis and/or recognition for some time now, but i have absolutely no idea where to start. Can anyone suggest some good books for it?

What I actually want to study isn't speech processing as such [i.e., proper and clear recording and transmission of speech]. I want to know what can be done with a small piece of recorded speech- that is, how to analyse it and what information can be obtained from it, e.g., whose voice it is, or what is being said, etc.

Any links or books suggested will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

That is a promising start. But then I provided values V=1, R1=1, R2=2, R3=3 and asked for the value of I. At first, it said...
