I'm a programmer as a career, but interested in physics since my childhood. While I lack a solid background on mathematics that hinders me in progressing as deep as I would like in physics, I developed my interest so far by trying to understand physics from the information theory standpoint, which is very natural for me. I enjoy following Leonard Susskind lectures that are public on YouTube and I'm quite intrigued about the possibilities of quantum-effects based computation.

I hope to learn more by engaging with others with the same interest. Finding people with interest and knowledge in advanced physics topics is not trivial. I hope I will eventually be able to contribute back.

Thanks!

Hello everyone, I'm Cosmo. I'm an 18 years old student majoring in physics. I found this forum cause I was searching on Google if it's common for physics student to feel like they're in the wrong major in the first semester cause it feels like too much for me to learn the materials even the ones that are considered as "basic math" or "basic physics", I've initial fascination with the universe's mysteries and it disconnect with the reality of intense, foundational mathematics courses required...
