AI Thread Summary
An ashtray on a balcony unexpectedly fractured into four pieces while containing lit cigarette buds. The incident raises questions about the possible causes of spontaneous glass breakage, particularly under the influence of heat from the burning cigarettes. The discussion references existing scientific threads that explore similar phenomena and suggests researching "spontaneously shatter" for more insights. Factors such as thermal stress or flaws in the glass may contribute to such occurrences. Understanding these mechanisms is crucial for preventing future incidents.
