Admissions What forms do I need to fill out for Oxford Physics admissions?

AI Thread Summary
A student from India is seeking guidance on applying to Oxford University for an undergraduate physics degree starting in October 2010. They are aware of the UCAS form but inquire about additional forms and deadlines specific to Oxford. A response indicates that while the application is still possible, it is approaching a late submission period. It is also noted that applicants must take a written test, and further details can be found on the official Oxford admissions website for physics. The conversation hints at a competitive application environment with multiple inquiries on the same topic.

Hullo everyone,

I am a student from India wishing to apply as a senior student to Oxford for there undergraduate degree in physics (starting in Oct 2010). Can anyone guide me as to what all forms need to be filled ? I know about the UCAS form but are there any additional forms that need to be sent to Oxford and what are the deadlines for the same ?

You've left it very late (but not too late) …

in addition to the forms, you need to take a written test, and you have to arrange that …

for details of the forms and the test, see http://www.ox.ac.uk/admissions/undergraduate_courses/courses/physics/physics_.html"

Hey, I am Andreas from Germany. I am currently 35 years old and I want to relearn math and physics. This is not one of these regular questions when it comes to this matter. So... I am very realistic about it. I know that there are severe contraints when it comes to selfstudy compared to a regular school and/or university (structure, peers, teachers, learning groups, tests, access to papers and so on) . I will never get a job in this field and I will never be taken serious by "real"...
TL;DR Summary: I want to do a PhD in applied math but I hate group theory, is this a big problem? Hello, I am a second-year math and physics double major with a minor in data science. I just finished group theory (today actually), and it was my least favorite class in all of university so far. It doesn't interest me, and I am also very bad at it compared to other math courses I have done. The other courses I have done are calculus I-III, ODEs, Linear Algebra, and Prob/Stats. Is it a...
