AI Thread Summary
The discussion revolves around the origins of branes in the context of M Theory, questioning what created the first brane and the source of everything. Participants express skepticism about the idea that branes have always existed, arguing that this does not adequately address the fundamental question of origin. The conversation highlights the philosophical implications of creation, including the challenge of tracing back to a first cause, whether it be branes or a deity. Many agree that the true answer may remain elusive, suggesting that humanity might never fully understand the origins of the universe. Ultimately, the complexity of these questions underscores the limits of human knowledge in cosmology.

what/how created first brane? first source of everything what/how

For all you LATEST M THEORY guys out there, u guys conveniently create theories that fit the data etc...but my question is this!

IF u believe big bang created my two colliding branes, then the question comes to be is that WHAT/HOW CREATED THESE BRANES?? How did the first Brane come into existence?? And if your answer is that they always existed, that does not answer the question, maybe after that we will find out that branes were created by the collision of something more superior then that, and then the question should be well then what created that thing??

are u getting what I am trying to eloborate here, what created the FIRST TRUE SOURCE OF EVERYTHING?? ask Stephan hawking this please, and for GOD belivers the question is ok, then WHAT CREATED GOD? same thing...maybe the REAL TRUTH IS THAT WE SHALL NEVER KNOW HOW ANYTHING CAME TO BE BUT CAN ONLY RATIONALISE WHAT WE SEE AND ARE ECXPERIENCING...

please i would like to hear your opinions on what created the first brane and I am not looking for it always existed becoz that is not an answer, just like decades ago we used to think oh BIG BANG was the creation of everything, but then we realized actually no it was created by 2 branes...thank you

Humans have been pondering the question "What created the universe? What created the thing that created the universe? What created the thing that created the thing that created the universe?" since our brains have been capable of complex thought.

As much as I hate to say it, no one knows the answer, and certainly no one on these forums. If we're extremely lucky someone might figure it out in our lifetimes. However, I predict that it will be impossible for humans, even trillions of years into the future, to answer that question. It is probably simply beyond our reach.

But of course my predictions are fairly meaningless as I'm not a physicist (yet), so who knows.

Yawn, your name says it all supagenious. Logic without math is mythology.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recombination_(cosmology) Was a matter density right after the decoupling low enough to consider the vacuum as the actual vacuum, and not the medium through which the light propagates with the speed lower than ##({\epsilon_0\mu_0})^{-1/2}##? I'm asking this in context of the calculation of the observable universe radius, where the time integral of the inverse of the scale factor is multiplied by the constant speed of light ##c##.
The formal paper is here. The Rutgers University news has published a story about an image being closely examined at their New Brunswick campus. Here is an excerpt: Computer modeling of the gravitational lens by Keeton and Eid showed that the four visible foreground galaxies causing the gravitational bending couldn’t explain the details of the five-image pattern. Only with the addition of a large, invisible mass, in this case, a dark matter halo, could the model match the observations...
Hi, I’m pretty new to cosmology and I’m trying to get my head around the Big Bang and the potential infinite extent of the universe as a whole. There’s lots of misleading info out there but this forum and a few others have helped me and I just wanted to check I have the right idea. The Big Bang was the creation of space and time. At this instant t=0 space was infinite in size but the scale factor was zero. I’m picturing it (hopefully correctly) like an excel spreadsheet with infinite...
