on that basis, evaluate this expression:

3r - 3p + 5q

I make it to be -7 (15 - 12 + (-10)
But my math book says the answer is -13. Can anyone explain where I have gone wrong?

3r - 3p + 5q

= 3(3) - 3(4) + 5(-2)

= 9 - 12 -10

= -13

I picked up this problem from the Schaum's series book titled "College Mathematics" by Ayres/Schmidt. It is a solved problem in the book.
