I'm very excited about the photos from the Solar Orbiter and the science coming from that and I can hardly wait until we put people on the moon again. I remember watching the Apollo moon landings and it has been way too long. There is so much exploring to do and I feel like the next ten years are going to be very exciting. The Higgs field is maybe the strangest thing of them all. Well, that and gravity.

I found this forum cause I was searching on Google if it's common for physics student to feel like they're in the wrong major in the first semester cause it feels like too much for me to learn the materials even the ones that are considered as "basic math" or "basic physics", I've initial fascination with the universe's mysteries and it disconnect with the reality of intense, foundational mathematics courses required...
Hi there! This is Vmax, an old (relatively, but the profession can definitively accelerate aging) aerospace engineer now returning to physics in my 50s. I can definitively use some help in refreshing long forgotten topics and guidance in tackling new challenging subjects in modern physics. I'm looking forward to engaging in interesting, informative and stimulating conversations with you all. Have a great day!
