Sorry if this is inappropriate to post here, if so it can be moved to general chat or closed or whatever. Also sorry about the vague thread title, I have no mathematics background at all.

I'm wondering if someone can, very loosely say what this is 'about' if that makes any sense within the context of that problem or equation I don't have a clue.

The reason I ask is someone posted it in a thread on a non-science or mathematics forum irrelevantly, they were discussing something completely different and just messing around I guess he said 'only x person can save us now' posted the image of that and said can someone double check my work? I'd like to post a response saying "What does <whatever that is related to> have anything to do with this?" just as a joke as well to take him off-guard.

Don't take my word for it but I think that has something to do with probability.

At the top where it has this equation that looks similar to H(P/Q) except the slash is straight, I don't know what H stands for but (P/Q) should mean P given Q. Hope that helps.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
 
for some reason it reminds me of the definition of matrix multiplication...
