What Should I Know Before Traveling to Australia?

I'll be goin to australia on thursday. I'm not sure how long I'll be there. about a week and a half.

Just please, stay out of the ocean. The sharks are very hungry again this year, and box jellyfish will kill you befor you can make it back to shore.

I've never been, but lots of my friends have visited or originated there. They all love it. Try not to land back on our island on the way home.

Isn't Astronuc from Australia? I can't help but picture it oozing venom. There seem to be venomous animals everywhere around there. And tasmanian devils nearby. Those are some fierce, fierce, little beasts! And those sounds they make! Eek. yomamma, you should fit in well.

While yomamma is little, and indeed makes a lot of irritating sounds, I'd hardly consider him 'fierce'.

Watch out, I've seen devils scare off full-grown bulls. yomamma may look pathetic and harmless, but he's a tenacious little devil.

I think some of our hotels have internet access. I'll check in a few times. the oceans have large nets to prevent box jellyfish getting in, I'll be safe ;).

Hmm... I was about to say tasmanian devils are extinct but that's tigers, and I live here.

Where abouts are you going? Its pretty cold down here in the south but its still nice up north. Make sure you watch out for drop bears. Lots of tourists get maimed by them. They look similar to koalas but are smaller, sit up high in trees and will jump at you. They got nasty claws so just make sure you don't fall asleep under any trees.

Ya usually know when there are jellyfish around because they come in huge swarms that can close off the whole beach, at least down this end they do. Even so your much more likely to die in a car crash than by shark or jellyfish.

Oh, and btw, we don't have taxis here, we all ride around on the backs of kangaroos.

Watch out for those hoop snakes, too! They grab their tails in their mouths and roll down the street at about 30 km/hr. They can sneak up on you, so keep an eye out!

Where are you going in Australia? Which states/cities/places? Might be able to give you some tourist advice. Have you been here before?

Where abouts? I have been to Perth and Hobart Taz. Twice each. I cannot say much about Perth except that it has a lot of brothels and try the VB. If you want to get your arse kicked you can also order a Fosters. lol

If you go to Hobart, which is not likely, make sure to stop and eat at the ball and chain...IIRC. And make sure you check out the club at the top of the casino. The boardwalk at the casino is worth the trip around the word in itself. Well, to me it is...

It will be a lot of fun...
