What type of career areas work with BCIs?

Hi! I'm interested in learning more about BCIs and the different types of career areas associated with it. I've have a interest in learning about them for commercial use/interaction with everyday objects and was wandering what type of degree/science studies this type of topic/thing... Thanks, I'm not the best at phrasing so sorry if you don't understand what I'm asking :/
