AI Thread Summary
Choosing the right post-graduate physics paper is crucial for research in Optical Data Storage. Quantum Mechanics is fundamental for understanding the principles behind data encoding and retrieval at the quantum level. Electromagnetism provides essential insights into the behavior of light and electromagnetic waves, which are critical for optical systems. Solid State Physics focuses on the properties of materials, which is vital for developing storage media. While taking all three papers may dilute the quality of individual focus, it can provide a comprehensive foundation that benefits long-term research endeavors. Ultimately, the choice should align with specific research goals and interests in Optical Data Storage.

I want to do research in "Optical Data Storage" but before I can I have to choose one post-grad physics paper from these 3:

- Quantum Mechanics
- Electromagnetism
- Solid State Phyics

Which one of these papers should I take?

Try writing all 3
the quality might not be as good as when only 1, but i always believe it gives only benefits in a long run,

TL;DR Summary: I want to do a PhD in applied math but I hate group theory, is this a big problem? Hello, I am a second-year math and physics double major with a minor in data science. I just finished group theory (today actually), and it was my least favorite class in all of university so far. It doesn't interest me, and I am also very bad at it compared to other math courses I have done. The other courses I have done are calculus I-III, ODEs, Linear Algebra, and Prob/Stats. Is it a...
Yesterday, 9/5/2025, when I was surfing, I found an article The Schwarzschild solution contains three problems, which can be easily solved - Journal of King Saud University - Science ABUNDANCE ESTIMATION IN AN ARID ENVIRONMENT https://jksus.org/the-schwarzschild-solution-contains-three-problems-which-can-be-easily-solved/ that has the derivation of a line element as a corrected version of the Schwarzschild solution to Einstein’s field equation.
