They get up to all sorts of mischief , knocking ornaments of shelves, scratching the furniture, waking one up up in the early hours of the morning, never coming in when they are called, why do we put up with them it is not as if they are loyal to their owners, ours do not even sit on ones lap and purr, but we will never get rid of them, why do you think that is are we masochists.

hmmm...the bold part reminds me of attractive partners who hurt us but we don't want to get rid of them!:biggrin:
 
I was up to four (4) cats at one point. Although they were all the very affectionate, purring type*. Perhaps too much so. Several times I would wake up, unable to move, with a cat pinning down each limb.

*Although one of them was so evil [to anyone except me] it was suggested that he might be used as a weapon of war by dropping him behind enemy lines.
