AI Thread Summary
The discussion revolves around a proposed meetup that did not occur, initially suggested in a previous thread about having lunch. The last updates indicated that the organizer would be unavailable in spring but expressed interest in rescheduling for the week of July 4th, coinciding with The Taste of Chicago event, which attracts large crowds. Various attractions in Chicago were mentioned, including scientific sites like the Museum of Science and Industry and Adler Planetarium, as well as cultural spots like the Art Institute and Navy Pier. However, some participants confirmed their unavailability due to prior commitments, such as research in Munich during the summer. The conversation highlights the challenges of coordinating group events and the desire for future gatherings.

So did that happen, and if so, was I not invited?

Huh?
Is this about the old "Lets do lunch" thread?

It did not happen.

I made the last posts in that thread shortly before PF v2.0 went down. I said that I would not be able to make it in the spring, and that I would like to try again for the week of July 4th. That will be more fun anyway, because we can go to the beach, and there is also The Taste of Chicago (a week-long party at which about 1 million people show up).

I'll post more in this thread later.

OK, here is the info I posted at PF v2.0 in "Let's do Lunch", before it went down.

:frown: won't be able to make it, i might be in georgia in november however...

Sorry, I won't be able to make it either. I'm going to the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich to do some research for all of June and July.

But if anyone will be in Munich in June or July, maybe we can hit the Biergarten together.
