The discussion centers on concerns about job prospects in national labs or utility companies for a nuclear engineering graduate who plans to marry an Iranian woman. It highlights the potential impact of marriage on security clearance eligibility, which is crucial for many positions in these fields. The conversation suggests that if a job requires a security clearance, marrying a non-American could complicate the approval process, as those who grant clearances are not subject to anti-discrimination laws. I have attempted to break into the engineering industry with no success. Right now I am considering going for a Masters in Electrical Engineering and I need advice on if this would be...
