I need to get a cheapo scientific calculator to replace my ancient one that just died. Any opinions on these two:
TI-36X Pro (Texas Instruments)
vs
FX-115ES Plus (Casio)
TI-36X Pro (Texas Instruments)
vs
FX-115ES Plus (Casio)
The TI-36X Pro and FX-115ES Plus calculators are both scientific calculators, but they have some key differences. The TI-36X Pro has a larger display screen and more advanced functions, such as equation solving and matrix operations. The FX-115ES Plus has a dual power source (solar and battery) while the TI-36X Pro only has a battery power source. Additionally, the TI-36X Pro has a built-in equation library and the FX-115ES Plus does not.
This is subjective and depends on personal preference. The TI-36X Pro has a larger display screen and a more intuitive keypad layout, while the FX-115ES Plus has a more compact design and a fraction/decimal conversion button. It is recommended to try out both calculators to see which one suits your needs and preferences better.
The TI-36X Pro is generally considered to be better for complex calculations due to its advanced functions and equation solving capabilities. However, the FX-115ES Plus also has a wide range of functions and can handle many complex calculations as well. It ultimately depends on the specific calculations needed and personal preference.
Both the TI-36X Pro and FX-115ES Plus are well-built and durable calculators. However, the TI-36X Pro has a slightly larger and sturdier design, making it more resistant to drops and impacts. It also has a slide-on cover for extra protection. That being said, both calculators are designed to withstand regular use and should last for a long time if properly cared for.
The FX-115ES Plus is generally more affordable than the TI-36X Pro. However, prices may vary depending on the retailer and any ongoing promotions. It is recommended to check online and compare prices before making a purchase to get the best deal.
