In a posthuman world, what will be the need for individual talent and money?

In summary, in a posthuman world where individuals have capabilities substantially higher than those of present humans, individual talent and money may still play a role. If the posthumans are still goal-oriented and have scarcity of resources, talent and money may be necessary to achieve their goals efficiently and create a market for their advancements. However, if the idea of posthumanity includes equity of talent and resources, then talent and money may not be as important.

(edit)Posthuman- as in cyborg, somewhat equivalent to transhuman.

Will they have time machines?
That can be used to come back to these times where talent and money is important.
If yes, then that is pretty similar to why a traveler should have more than one currency

found definition here:
Post-humanity has been defined as a future society in which at least part of those living have capabilities substantially higher than those of the present variety of Homo sapiens, to the extent that they can no longer really be called humans. The capabilities can be physical, intellectual, emotional, or spiritual.

talent/creativity is necessary to progress. unless equity of talent and creativity among all persons is necessary to your idea of "post-human" then I see no idea why it would cease to be important.
and money, or a trade/barter system, is necessary in any society that must deal with limitation or scarcity of resources. so again unless your idea of "post-human" necessitates that this not be an issue it remains important.

it depends:

if the cyborgs are still goal orientated like us humans, then they will be stiving to achieve these goals, there talents will help them to do this efficiently and they would probably use money (or other form of currency, bartering for example) to build upgrades to achieve their goals more efficiently. This would lead to a market for these things and markets run on currency.

1. What is the definition of a posthuman world?

A posthuman world is a hypothetical future in which humans have significantly altered their biology and abilities through technological advancements, potentially leading to a new species or way of existence.

2. Will individual talent still be relevant in a posthuman world?

It is likely that individual talent will still play a role in a posthuman world, as there will always be a need for unique skills and abilities. However, the definition of talent may shift as the capabilities of posthuman beings change.

3. How will money function in a posthuman society?

It is difficult to say for certain, but it is possible that traditional forms of currency may become obsolete in a posthuman world. With advanced technologies, individuals may be able to meet their basic needs and desires without the need for traditional currency.

4. Can individuals without posthuman enhancements still thrive in a posthuman world?

This depends on the specific advancements and their impact on society. It is possible that individuals without posthuman enhancements may still have valuable contributions to make, but they may also face challenges in competing with those who have enhanced abilities.

5. How will societal structures and power dynamics change in a posthuman world?

This is a complex question with no clear answer. It is possible that hierarchical structures and power dynamics may shift as posthuman beings may have different abilities and capabilities. It will also depend on how society chooses to regulate and govern these advancements.
