I know an even function satisfies f(x)=f(-x) for all values of x in its domain. An odd function satisfies f(-x)=-f(x) for all the values of x in the domain. But, how do you calculate this if you have an equation?
ex. f(x)=-2x+1
^ Thanks
sorry, I did not coppy it corrently, it's not supposed to have the two in it :P
so is it like this?
y=f^-1(x)
X Y
0 0
1 1
2 4
3 9
y=f^-1(-x)
X Y
0 0
-1 1
-2 4
-3 9
A large dealership had been selling new cars at $6000 over the factory price. Sales have been averaging 80 cars per mouth. Because of inflation, the $6000 markup is going to be increased. The marketing manager has determined that, for every $100 increase, there will be one less car
sold each...
a) sketch the graph of the function f(x)=square root X
b) on the same set of axes, graph y=f^-1(x), y=-f^-1(-x)
so I did a chart, but i don't know if its right...I don't think its right :confused:
f(x)=squareroot x
X Y
0 0
1 1
4 2
9 3
y=f^-1(x)
X Y
0 0
1 -1...
i have a test tomorow and I am having trouble with these questions can some one pls check over my answers?
1. a slingshop shoots a 12g stone at 36m/s. It goes in an arc and at the top of the arc it is going at 14m/s. How high is it at this point?
12g=0.012kg
36m/s=v1
14m/s=v2
Ek=1/2mv2...
I have a project to do with viral mutation, but i haven't found any information how the virus changes, just that it does. can anyone tell me exactly how the virus mutates? Thanks :smile:
