t is linearly related to the emf, so i incorrectly changed dt to kt and multiplied it to emf and took out the derivative for BA.
But the dt's cancel out right? how do you get t^2
Homework Statement
A magnetic field perpendicular to the plane of a wire loop is uniform in space but changes with time tin the region of the loop. If the induced emf in the loop increases linearly with time t, then the magnitude of the magnetic field must be proportional to:
a)t^3
b)t^2...

Can someone explain the answer? I don't understand why it's necessary for that the moment when the force exerted on the smaller block is greatest is when it is on the verge of slipping. Could it not already have been slipped off or maybe even 3/4 way slipped off...
Well we already finished finding the centerline and we placed our motor accordingly. We raced in the competition but we got 38th place :(
We need to know the position of the COM so that we can place our batteries and resistor etc in the right position. The boat is 16 ft long, and 3 feet wide...
Well there are a few reasons of why we don't add more nails or balance out the weight, we ran out of funding because the paint costs a lot of money. And besides, it's not just the nails, our wood might be heavier on one side etc
Our boat was not exactly symmetrical, and plus it had a few extrs nails on one side. We found exact centerline or else compton high would beat us lol like they did a few years ago. If we assume our boat is symmetrical then we will calculate our centerline wrong and our boat will bot go straight...
Thanks man I appreciate it, I have some questions, what is a port-starboard? and what is a com? and by weight you mean the weight of the boat right? i know i sound stupid lol but seriously help would be appreciated thanks
I have heard of it but never considered it because I had no idea what it meant lol... what does the eq mean?
There's an engineering team in my school, we build a motor boat and basically go to a competition and race at the end of the school year. Anyways, I need to find the center of mass for...
