12 volts to 120 volts the easy way?
What about using a Boost Converter or a cascade of these to get your voltage really high? Then build the inverter.- Chacabucogod

Graduate Can the Laplace Inverse be Applied to Divided Transfer Functions?
I was wondering whether this can be done: Let's say you have transfer function that goes like this: \frac{Y(s)}{U(s)}= \frac{N(s)}{D(s)} Now let's say I divide my transfer into two: \frac{Y(s)}{Z(s)}= N(s) \frac{Z(s)}{U(s)}= \frac{1}{D(s)} Can I apply the Laplace Inverse to these two...- Chacabucogod

Control Theory State-Space method with derivative input
Hi, I'm reading Ogata's Modern Control Engineering, and when he talks about the representation of a differential equation in state space he divides the method in two. The first one is when the input of the differential equation involves no derivative term, for example: x'(t)+x(t)=u(t) The...- Chacabucogod

Relation Between Electric Frequency and magnetic field rotation speed in a motor
Hi! I understand that if you have a stator with a a three phase electric signal going into it, both the frqyency and angular velocity of the magnetic field and the electric entry will be the same. Now when you feed it with 2 groups of three phases electric signals you get four poles, or at least...- Chacabucogod

Troubleshooting H Bridge Inverter Boost Issues
I'm building a boost inverter, and when I connect two trasnsistors, an npn and a pnp, to the output resistance, and connect these two transistors to voltage it works. Now, when I connect the other two transistors and connect them to ground the boost stops working. Would anybody know what's going on?- Chacabucogod

Why is my Transistor Reducing Voltage in Buck Converter Modeling?
Hi I'm currently modeling a 5-12Vdc buck converter, and just out of nowhere decided to put a transistor between the output resistance and the diode. Now, this transistor is always connected to voltage so it shouldn't do anything at all, it's just a closed switch. What happens is that the...- Chacabucogod

How Do Boost and Buck Converters Work in a DC-AC Inverter?
I'm currently reading a paper given to me by my professor to expose to class. The problem is that I don't understand it very well! I'd like to see if you guys can help me. The paper I'm reading is "A boost dc-ac converter: Analysis, design, and experimentation" I've found the paper on the...- Chacabucogod

Why is the first inductor essential in the topology of the Cuk converter?
Mhh... I get it! So the large current spike would dissipate in the resistance and you would lose a lot of energy right? Cool.- Chacabucogod

Why is the first inductor essential in the topology of the Cuk converter?
Hi, I'm currently studying the topology of the cuk converter and I'm wondering why do you hhave to add that first inductor to the topology? Can't you just charge the capacitor straight through the voltage source? Thank you.- Chacabucogod

Photovoltaic and Wind energy Inverter Question
I have just begun my power electronics class, but have already seen what an inverter is. My question is: is there a difference between the topologies that function with photovoltaic systems and wind energy ones? Thankyou- Chacabucogod
