Homework Statement
The Lower Machiavellian Space Shuttle, having a total mass of 3500kg, is about to make its' debut launch. Rather then using a rocket engine to launch the shuttle, the Machiavellianans' use a large compressed spring, having a spring constant of 1600N/m. If the spring can be...
a=v/t
now that you have t and have v aswell, just sub in the appropriate values and you are done. I'm done for the day but that should be enough to finish the rest of this question
I don't have a calculator but the equation is right
height is equal to distance
use the equation d=v*t since you know 2 of the 3 variables
t=d/v try it and you should be done
The only two equations you need are
1/2mv^2 kinetic
and
mgh gravitational
if the ball has reached it's max height then there is no kinetic so if you make these equations equal to each other, the masses will cancel out, you no your speed v, you no gravity g, all you need to account for is...
1. The problem statement, all variables
a sample polonium-218 decays at A(t)=100(.5)^t/3.1
determine how many minutes it will take to decay to 30%
2. Homework Equations
log(a)/log(b)
3. The Attempt at a Solution
.3=100(.5)^t/3.1
.3/100=.5^t/3.1
URGENT:trigonometric identity question
Homework Statement
tan2x+cos2x+sin2x=sec2x
*the 2 stands for squared since I don't know how to make the squared symbol appear on a compter

Sorry to post again but I read and made that last post at work.
I am assuming you mean g is gravity(9.8) but that gives me 3.53 s. am I just supposed to use d=v*t to solve.
