Find the photoelectric work function for this metal

    I think i got it. h= (e)(slope) = (1.60×10−16 C)(3.8×10−15 V ⋅ s) = 6.1×10^−34 J ⋅ s (6.1×10^−34 Js)(1.25x10^15) = 7.75x10^-19 then convert to ev 7.75x10^-19 / 1.6x10^-19 = 4.84 x10^-19

Find the photoelectric work function for this metal

The solutions said fth =1.25×10^15 Hz. h = planks constant = 6.26x10^-36 if you multiply you get 8.2825 i have to assume that's in jewels so i convert that to ev 8.2825 / 1.6 x 10^-19 = 5.17ev but the answer is 4.8ev

    Comparing thermo dynamic processes

the volume is being compressed. But, th pressure remains constant so the area of work is less than the other 2 processes? Adiabatic is the most?

    Comparing thermo dynamic processes

Homework Statement in a cylinder, 1.2 mol of an ideal gas, gamma = 1.67 initially at 3.60 x10^5 pa and 300k, is compressed until the volume is halved. I need help with 1) c and 2) Compute work done on the gas if the compression is: 1) a) isothermal b) adiabatic c) isobaric...

    Elastic potential energy - springs

I know this problem has been asked before but i am trying to understand. Homework Statement A 2.00-kg block is pushed against a spring with negligible mass and force constant k = 400 N/m, compressing it 0.220 m. When the block is released, it moves along a frictionless, horizontal surface and...
