Maxwell13 Tutorials - Ansoft: Get Started with Axial Flux PMG
I created the geometry and inputed all the materials and what not, but when i simulate, i do not get results anywhere near the physical model generator we built.- johnbrown11

Maxwell13 Tutorials - Ansoft: Get Started with Axial Flux PMG
So after some reading, coil of wires are assumed to be connected in series. With that said, how do I define where the current will come from? I know I have to use eddy currents solution, but I am unsure how to go about this. Thanks- johnbrown11

Maxwell13 Tutorials - Ansoft: Get Started with Axial Flux PMG
Well I have created a rough draft geometry. I used cylinders for wires which are around another cylinder that are washers. I am unsure of how to connect the wires in series since there are no terminals? Also, I am unsure of how to input the amount of turns the coil has. Any help would be nice- johnbrown11

Wire Gauges: Explaining Sizes & Electric Current Capacity
Hello, Can anyone explain to me what wire guages are? It just says its a measurement of how large a wire is and how much electric current in can safley handle. Can anyone give more insight? Also, if I want to power something that requires 100watts what size of a gauge should i use and why...- johnbrown11

What is the purpose for frequency?
That and for example why we use 120V @ 60hz. Why the 60hz? Why not say..80hz? I am just a little confused on what the purpose it is for in AC or its function in electrical systems.- johnbrown11
