Why Does Multiplying Floats in C Lead to Unexpected Results?
Hi, Please see my code below. If I enter 4.42 in for my first float and 10.00 in for my second float and I muliply them together I get a result of 44.200001. The reason is because the compiler thinks that 4.42 = 4.4200001 (I checked this during debug). Why does this do this? How does...- meldave00

Find a Cheap uP Starter Kit and Compiler for LED Projects
Triden, Thanks for the response. Stupid question...Would you happen to know how I write C language with this? That is, how do I program this thing? Is there a c compiler that comes with this?- meldave00

Find a Cheap uP Starter Kit and Compiler for LED Projects
Hi, I'm looking for a very cheap uP start kit that I can practice c language and perhaps assembly language on. I want to light up led's and stuff like that. Can anyone direct me to a good url to find one I can purchase. I'm interested in the software (compiler), etc. too. regards...- meldave00

New Theory on why tornadoes occur.
To date, I don't believe scientist have a concrete scientific explanation on why tornadoes really occur in nature. There are some theories, but they have never really been proven. I believe that the this guys theory may be pointed in the right direction. Please read the article and comment if...- meldave00

Is Voltage Really Like Water Pressure in Electric Circuits?
Voltage Correction. That is Node A has less electron to electron force than Node B with respect to Ground's electron to electron force. When I say electron to electron force, I mean the force between all the electrons at a given node. Sort of like pressure.- meldave00

Is Voltage Really Like Water Pressure in Electric Circuits?
Voltage Thanks for your response. I do now believe that voltage potential energy is analogous to the boulder up a hill. There is one caveat that I have. Imagine a large electronic board with a complex circuit on it. Node A is 2 ft away from Node B and NodeA and NodeB are 2ft away from...- meldave00

Undergrad Capacitance in Series: Questions for David
Russ, O.K. Now that we are in agreement on what is going on in the circuit. There are some additional questions I have that I don't fully understand. I'm not sure if you know that answers or not either. However, here they are. 1). In the following region. I put numbers in for easier...- meldave00
