Find the resistance at 50 degrees C given resistance at 0 C

Homework Statement The resistance of a bobbinin 0 grades celcius is 3.35 ohm. What is its resistance in 50 grades celcius? thermal constant=0.0037 Homework Equations R1=R0[1+alpha(t-t0)] The Attempt at a Solution Using this formula R1=3.35[1+0.0037(50-0)]=3.35*1.185=3.96975, but the answer in...

Difference between lights connected in series and parallel

So we can write P=U^2/R U is the same in each resistance in parallel, but it divides in resistances in series. So it is greater in resistances in parallel. This way P is greater when they are connected in parallel. Am I right?

Find the resistance of a wire (conductor)

I think it is. Only if you consider pi to affect that

Why don't all lights turn off when connected in parallel

Homework Statement When the filament of a light is broken why do others continue to light? Homework Equations Parallel: U=U1=U2=U3 I=I1+I2+I3+... The Attempt at a Solution Is it because there are some nodes? How can you explain this simply?
