Crash Project by 4 Days: Solve Part B | Help w/ Table
By how many days should each activity be reduced the project completion time by 4 days? I have all the parts right except for part B. I thought it was 2 but it's not. What I did was subtract normal time from crash time and it worked for all the problems except B. Here's a link to the table. Any...- rowdy3

Real Rate 4%, Inflation 7%: Calculate Nominal Interest Rate
What would you expect the nominal rate of interest be if the real rate is 4% and the expected inflation rate is 7%? I did n=4 I=7 (1+.04)= (1+.07)+(1+r) 1.04/1.07 - 1 = -2.80. Is that correct?- rowdy3

Find Area Using Definite Integral: [5,10]
Use the definite integral to find the area between the x-axis and F(x) over the indicated interval. Check first to see if the graph crosses the x-axis in the given interval. F(x)= 4x-32 ; [5,10] I did y = 0 => 4x - 32 = 0 => x = 8 => graph crosses x-axis at x = 8 Also it is +ve for x > 8...- rowdy3

How Do You Solve an Integral Using Substitution?
Use substitution to find each indefinite integral. ∫ (square root 2 + lnx) / x ; dx I did u=2+ln(x) then differentiate both sides to get du=0+dx/x ∫ (square root 2 + lnx) / x ; dx ∫ (square root u) du ∫ u^0.5 du u^(3/2)/(3/2)+c =(2+ln(x))^(3/2) +c Is the answer right? Thanks.- rowdy3
