Thanks for the response. I checked the paper, it talks about the power spectrum binning. Suppose I bin the power spectrum as described in the paper.
The confusion I had is, if I just sum over the binned multipoles, I will end with the similar cummulative signal-to-noise ratio as before I...
The signal-to-noise ratio for angular power spectrum signal Cl under theoretical noise Nl, where Cl and Nl are functions of multipole l, is given as
(S/N)^2= \sum (2l+1) (Cl/Nl)^2To increase the S/N we bin the power spectrum signal, if bin width \Delta l, this in principle decreases Nl by a...
I know for sure PICO will be measuring polarization anisotropies with high fidelity. In addition, the PICO science paper shows that it will make full-sky Compton-y maps but the plots are mostly limited to l=1000. Will PICO be able to measure kSZ temperature anisotropy at l=3000?
The definition of power spectrum of matter density field is given by eq(1). I have also seen definitions of power spectra given by eq(2) . Does this mean (2\pi^3) has been absorbed in the correlation function?
$$P_{xx}(k)=(2\pi^3)\delta(k-k^\prime)<x(k)x(k^\prime)>$$ .. (1)...
This was not done in controlled environment, this is something i have experienced and hence the result has been described qualitatively and not quantized.
Suppose you have a glass of water, and you beat a spoon on the bottom layer of glass through the mouth of glass, repeated beatings in a regular fashion will cause in increased frequency of sound produced due to the spoon beating? What causes such increase in frequency?
How come a+a- ψn = nψn ? This is eq. 2.65 of Griffith, Introduction to Quantum Mechanics, 2e. I followed the previous operation from the following analysis but I cannot get anywhere with this statement. Kindly help me with it. Thank you for your time.
I am self studying the Book- Introduction to Quantum Mechanics , 2e. Griffith. Page 47.
While the book has given a proof for eq. 2.64 but its not very ellaborate
Integral(infinity,-infinity) [f*(a±g(x)).dx] = Integral(infinity,-infinity) [(a±f)* g(x).dx] . It would be great help if somebody...
If you generalize the word transistor then there are two classifications of transistor depending on the power ranges they operate: signal level transistor and power transistors.
For power transistor I( base) ranges can be in Amperes when compared to signal level with milli Ampere ratings...
Thanks for your reply. But Instead of a single machine infinite bus,I needed to connect a dfig in a wind farm which already consists of synchronous generators and a few dfig's. So the synchronous machines will have a zero phase angle with the network bus but the dfig must have some phase...
Which will be my reference frame while modelling and control - the reference machine in the network or the network bus itself? And if so how do i relate the dfig to this reference frame?
