    Generating a rippled voltage supply

i see...deleting C3 would let me have AC and DC at the output! as for the type of NPN to use I am not really sure, right now its trial and error

    Generating a rippled voltage supply

im thinking of a schematic like this with vin as a varying sinusoidal input(0-20 Mhz) of amplitude 200mv. I want vout to be reasonably flat across this range. Also at my output id like to have a DC of around 3.3V. It is also worth noting that my load sinks up to 1A of current. Is it worth a shot?

    Generating a rippled voltage supply

in relation to this thread:https://www.physicsforums.com/showthread.php?t=179898&highlight=psrr is anyone savvy enough with bjt followers on SPICE to loosely guide me through the process?

    will this work

    Generating a rippled voltage supply

Ok,thanks a lot for responding so if the center is the signal can i still slide it in my configuration somehow? I've been looking everywhere for an op amp that is unity gain stable up to 20MHz and can source up to 1A.

How to Connect a Signal Generator to Multiple Components?

I'm trying to connect a signal generator as in the following configuration, my signal generator has an output port that i can connect to the capacitor in the diagram on a prorotype breadboard but what about the connection to the 3R3 resistor and DC supply? is there a special wire that goes from...

    Generating a rippled voltage supply

a supply voltage of around 3.3 V, DUT current varies from 600mA-1A.the capacitance seen by the supply circuit were not given but before all of that could you please explain rudimentary power follower circuits

    Generating a rippled voltage supply

this has been suggested to me before, but i never understood the operating conditions(biasing etc) or connections (besides driving the base with the signal generator)or what specifications to look at in a BJT that would suggest it could work at the Mhz range

    Generating a rippled voltage supply

hmm! thanks chroot that makes a lot more sense now, berkeman my DUT sinks up to 1A and i want to test PSRR up to 20Mhz. do you think i could just connect my signal generator to my DUT?

    Generating a rippled voltage supply

So I'm trying to do some regulator PSRR tests and for this i'll need a regular DC source with a ripple on it (say 200mv pk-pk) so i can compare this to the ripple at the output and someone suggested this circuit set up to me. My question is about the capacitor, i was told "a signal generator...
