Academic & Career Guidance disclaimer

AI Thread Summary
There is a proposal to create a sticky post in the Academic & Career Guidance forum that emphasizes the importance of consulting school advisors rather than relying solely on forum advice. The suggested disclaimer would remind students to approach forum guidance critically and not consider it a primary source of information. Despite the intention behind the sticky, there is skepticism about its effectiveness, with concerns that it may be overlooked like previous stickies.

This was brought up somewhere a while ago and I think we should revisit it and enact it: make a sticky in Academic & Career Guidance, a disclaimer to the effect that students should not take this forum as a primary source of guidance but should consult advisors at their school, should take advice given in the forum with the proper grain of salt, etc., things of that nature.

I'll make a sticky and put it in there ...to be ignored, like all the others !
