AI Thread Summary
A user is seeking a website that offers a Java applet for conducting Single or Double-slit experiments, specifically to manipulate variables such as slit width, slit thickness, slit distance from the screen, and incident light wavelength. A recommended resource is the Falstad website, which provides a suitable applet for exploring these concepts in depth. The discussion emphasizes the importance of interactive learning in understanding the principles of wave interference and diffraction.

Greetings,

Does anyone know a website with a java applet for a Single or Double-slit experiment? I'd like to mess around with the variables to learn the intricacies of how it works.

Variables I'd like to mess with include:

slit width
slit thickness
slit distance from screen
incident light wavelength

Thanks.

Thread 'Is this public key encryption?'
I've tried to intuit public key encryption but never quite managed. But this seems to wrap it up in a bow. This seems to be a very elegant way of transmitting a message publicly that only the sender and receiver can decipher. Is this how PKE works? No, it cant be. In the above case, the requester knows the target's "secret" key - because they have his ID, and therefore knows his birthdate.
