I just noticed that Fujitsu is http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=22-153-020&depa=0 SATA interface laptop hard drives. These are dual-interface, so they should also be compatible with current IDE interfaces. If I understand correctly, SATA interfaces for laptops will become available with the upcoming mobile chipset update, Alviso, from Intel that will work with the current Dothan CPUs and give them a front-side bus boost from the current 400MHz to 533MHz.

Alviso may also bring PCI-Express to laptops.

Asus Vivobook S14 flip. The power button is wrecked. Unable to turn it on AT ALL.
