AI Thread Summary
MiKTeX's package management system is praised for its ease of use, eliminating the need to manually search for packages on CTAN. Users are seeking similar functionality in Unix systems, with TeXLive being a potential alternative. TeXLive is noted for its comprehensive package and documentation availability, which is crucial for users who frequently lack internet access. The discussion centers around whether TeXLive can meet the same needs as MiKTeX for offline use and package management.

I've become rather fond of MiKTeX's package management system. The last time I actually had to manually find a package on CTAN has been a long time ago, because of MiKTeX. Just wondering if anyone knows of a similar system for Unix systems?

I've just taken a look at TeXLive. It seems to be what I'm looking for. MiKTeX contains this, but I'm curious to know if any TeXLive users exist here and if TeXLive contains what I need.

Can AI do everything a human can do and how close are we to that? 2. Are corporations and governments using the promise of AI to gain more power for themselves? 3. Are AI and transhumans...
Sorry if 'Profile Badge' is not the correct term. I have an MS 365 subscription and I've noticed on my Word documents the small circle with my initials in it is sometimes different in colour document to document (it's the circle at the top right of the doc, that, when you hover over it it tells you you're signed in; if you click on it you get a bit more info). Last night I had four docs with a red circle, one with blue. When I closed the blue and opened it again it was red. Today I have 3...
