Blocking Magnetic Energy: Materials and Solutions

AI Thread Summary
Superconductors are capable of blocking magnetic energy by acting as perfect diamagnets, preventing magnetic fields from penetrating their interiors. The discussion highlights that while some sources may appear misleading, they often convey similar information regarding superconductors' properties. The effectiveness of superconductors in blocking magnetic fields is well-documented in physics literature. Participants express varying interpretations of the clarity of different educational resources on this topic. Understanding the nature of superconductors is crucial for comprehending magnetic energy blocking solutions.

So this [website] is misleading then[?]
I don't see how, as it seems to say the same thing as ranger's answer above (but in greater depth).

Thread 'Motional EMF in Faraday disc, co-rotating magnet axial mean flux'
So here is the motional EMF formula. Now I understand the standard Faraday paradox that an axis symmetric field source (like a speaker motor ring magnet) has a magnetic field that is frame invariant under rotation around axis of symmetry. The field is static whether you rotate the magnet or not. So far so good. What puzzles me is this , there is a term average magnetic flux or "azimuthal mean" , this term describes the average magnetic field through the area swept by the rotating Faraday...
