AI Thread Summary
To successfully burn a Windows Movie Maker slideshow saved in .wmv format to a DVD, it is essential to convert the file to a compatible DVD format, such as .vob. However, issues may arise if the DVD player cannot read the burned DVD, even if it plays well on a computer. This problem could be related to the DVD format being incompatible with the player's region settings or the burning process itself. It is important to ensure that the conversion and burning processes are correctly executed, particularly in regions like Singapore where PAL is the standard. For guidance, a tutorial on burning VOB files to DVD is available, which may assist in resolving these issues.

Hey guys, I'm not sure where else to post this so I'm thinking it'll fit the best here.

I've been trying to burn a slideshow that my friend made in Windows Movie Maker to a DVD for her, and it's saved in .wmv format. I've converted it to a DVD format (.vob) and tried burning it, but my DVD player can't seem to read it? It plays fine on a computer, however. I really need to get this working because it's her dad's birthday gift! Any help would be appreciated...

I used WinAVI 8.0 to convert.. I live in Singapore where everything is PAL.

Unfortunately, when this question is asked, the one asking, as far as I can tell, may mean one of three things which can lead to lots of confusion. I'll list them out now for clarity. 1. Can AI do everything a human can do and how close are we to that? 2. Are corporations and governments using the promise of AI to gain more power for themselves? 3. Are AI and transhumans...
Thread 'ChatGPT Examples, Good and Bad'
I've been experimenting with ChatGPT. Some results are good, some very very bad. I think examples can help expose the properties of this AI. Maybe you can post some of your favorite examples and tell us what they reveal about the properties of this AI. (I had problems with copy/paste of text and formatting, so I'm posting my examples as screen shots. That is a promising start. But then I provided values V=1, R1=1, R2=2, R3=3 and asked for the value of I. At first, it said...
