Calculating Rotating Magnetic Field

AI Thread Summary
To calculate the rotating magnetic field (RMF) in a stator, the Biot-Savart law is a key formula used to relate current to magnetic field strength. The discussion emphasizes that increasing current results in a stronger RMF. Participants are encouraged to refer to the Biot-Savart law for detailed calculations. Understanding the relationship between current and RMF is crucial for effective stator design. Accurate calculations can enhance the performance of electrical machines.

Hi!

I'd like to calculate the rotating magnetic field in a stator
The stator is the attached picture.
What I understand is the more current = the more rmf, so is there any equation / formula to calculate the rmf as a result of current?
Thank you

Thread 'Motional EMF in Faraday disc, co-rotating magnet axial mean flux'
So here is the motional EMF formula. Now I understand the standard Faraday paradox that an axis symmetric field source (like a speaker motor ring magnet) has a magnetic field that is frame invariant under rotation around axis of symmetry. The field is static whether you rotate the magnet or not. So far so good. What puzzles me is this , there is a term average magnetic flux or "azimuthal mean" , this term describes the average magnetic field through the area swept by the rotating Faraday...
