Is there anywhere that lays out the decay constants for various particulate matter released in different regions?

What exactly do you mean by 'decay constant'? Are you talking about settling/diffusion, or a Beer-Lambert absorption, or something else.

Thread 'Which is which among Cyclone, Hurricane, and Typhoon?'

This is not something I need to know. Just that I am curious exactly why these three (or more?) different words which mean the same thing. What if anything, distinguishes each from the other? Cyclone, Hurricane, Typhoon. I surely did look at the wikipedia articles on Cyclone and Hurricane but not so clear to me reading there.

Thread 'The Secrets of Prof. Verschure's Rosetta Stones'

Thread 'Landslide, tsunami, seiche in Tracy Arm fjord, Alaska - 10 August 2025'

On August 10, 2025, there was a massive landslide on the eastern side of Tracy Arm fjord. Although some sources mention 1000 ft tsunami, that height represents the run-up on the sides of the fjord.
