I just want to ask a simple question to experts here. Can superheating of steam increases efficiency and output of thermal power plants?

Absolutely, superheating is probably the most effective way we have to boost the energy efficiency of a steam plant.
The relatively low efficiency (about 33%) of nuclear plants reflects the lower degree of superheating practical with current materials technology. Fossil fuel steam turbines can exceed 40%.
Combined cycle gas turbines can get close to 60% efficient, but also have much higher capital costs.
