Can you explain Special Relativity in simple terms?

I work in the IT with an electronic engineering background. I love math and physics. I've studied English (CAE), German and Russian. I'm going to ask you a question about special relativity. Recently I've seen Leonard Susskind's online lectures and I've read his books about Quantum Mechanics, etc... Thanks to you all in advance! :smile:

Hello everyone, I'm Cosmo. I'm an 18 years old student majoring in physics.
