The discussion centers around the recent Canadian election results, with CBC projecting a win for the Liberals. Participants express optimism about potential changes in Canada's international stance, particularly regarding climate change, following the departure of a Prime Minister who denied its existence. There is a belief that Canada will no longer be seen as a pariah in climate action. The conversation also touches on Canada's decision to withdraw fighter planes from the fight against ISIS, suggesting a shift in military involvement. Well one really excellent thing is that Canada will probably stop being a pariah on climate change action, now that it's gotten rid of a PM that denies it's happening.

Australia got rid of its denialist PM a few weeks ago, and everybody is much happier already!
