Circuit inside DC boost step up pulse power module

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the internal circuitry of a DC boost step-up pulse generator, specifically a 400kV model purchased from eBay. Participants question the voltage rating, suggesting it is likely closer to 20kV, and discuss its components, including a current limiting resistor, capacitor, and potential pulse width modulation. The circuit is compared to a flyback inverter, with references to high-voltage transformer schematics and components typically found in ignition systems.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of high-voltage circuits and safety precautions
  • Familiarity with pulse width modulation (PWM) techniques
  • Knowledge of flyback inverter design and operation
  • Experience with electronic component identification and schematic reading
NEXT STEPS
  • Research "flyback inverter 400kV schematic" for detailed circuit designs
  • Study the operation of pulse width modulation in high-voltage applications
  • Explore safety measures for working with high-voltage circuits
  • Investigate the components of ignition systems in automotive applications
USEFUL FOR

Electronics enthusiasts, engineers working with high-voltage systems, and individuals interested in the design and operation of pulse generators and inverters.

Any one know circuit inside DC boost step up pulse generator?
I have this one buy from ebay 400Kv type,i want to know how this work by circuit inside..
I had googling and not found result..
Please help me..

400kV? Is that a typo? What is the application?

I'd expect it to at least have a current limiting resistor and a capacitor, like a car ignition. But the nature of the arc makes me think there is more.

Right..
More like pulse with modulator..
And i have x-ray scaning
But dificult to identify the component inside

The large dark silhouette resembles the EHT transformer from a TV: a square ferrite core with the bulges being two separated windings. The other components would form the oscillator and driver to pulse the primary winding of that transformer.
