AI Thread Summary
Climber Yo****eru Takahashi is returning to the Himalayas, convinced he will finally provide evidence of the yeti's existence after a previous attempt was thwarted by equipment failure due to harsh conditions. The discussion raises questions about the nature of the yeti, suggesting that the concept of a singular yeti may be flawed, as it implies an immortal creature rather than a part of a breeding population. The longevity of yeti folklore is also questioned, alongside a humorous commentary on journalists' motivations for pursuing yeti stories, hinting at a deeper critique of media sensationalism in reporting on mythical creatures.

"the lair"..."the yeti"...

So, there's only one? Not a member of a reproducing population of yeti? It is immortal? How long have the yeti stories been around?

Why do you think they keep going back? Obviously it's not for the pictures?

Just ONCE, I wanted to see a post titled Status Update that was not a blatant, annoying spam post by a new member. So here it is. Today was a good day here in Northern Wisconsin. Fall colors are here, no mosquitos, no deer flies, and mild temperature, so my morning run was unusually nice. Only two meetings today, and both went well. The deer that was road killed just down the road two weeks ago is now fully decomposed, so no more smell. Somebody has a spike buck skull for their...
