AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on whether the nth harmonic in sound consistently produces n crests. Participants seek clarification on the relationship between harmonics and wave patterns. The term "loop" was initially used but later corrected to "crests." There is an inquiry about any general rules governing this phenomenon. The conversation highlights the need for a deeper understanding of harmonics in sound waves.

Hello,

Does the nth harmonic ALWAYS produce n loops, when referring to sound?
If not, is there a general rule for this?

Thanks.

What exactly are you referring when you say loop?

Hello,

Sorry i meant crests.

I think it's easist first to watch a short vidio clip I find these videos very relaxing to watch .. I got to thinking is this being done in the most efficient way? The sand has to be suspended in the water to move it to the outlet ... The faster the water , the more turbulance and the sand stays suspended, so it seems to me the rule of thumb is the hose be aimed towards the outlet at all times .. Many times the workers hit the sand directly which will greatly reduce the water...
