AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers around the use of LaTeX for organizing math and science notes and homework. Some participants express that while LaTeX can create neat and professional documents, the time investment may not be worth it, especially when completing assignments is already time-consuming. Others highlight the benefits of using LaTeX, such as improved understanding of the material and the ability to produce legible work, particularly for those with poor handwriting. One user mentions using TeXmacs for note-taking, which simplifies the process of typing in TeX. Overall, the conversation reflects a balance between the advantages of neatness and comprehension against the time required to format work in LaTeX.

Personally, I don't. Completing homework takes long enough, without having to type it up as well!

Interesting idea, though I agree with cristo. I don't know if it would be worth the effort but I do know some people recopy their notes again.

When I do take notes (in my analysis class), I do so on my laptop with a program called TeXmacs, which allows one to type stuff in TeX quite easily.
Furthermore, I type up my assignments for classes which allow me to do so.

I always Latex things, as my handwriting is completely incomprehensible, even to myself.

Yeah, I think LaTexing your work forces you to learn the material really well.
