ENGINE HPT blade construction and and its cooling holes

AI Thread Summary
The discussion focuses on a request for assistance regarding High-Pressure Turbine (HPT) blades and their cooling holes, specifically in the context of the CFM56-5C engine. The original poster seeks information on the source of cooling air for HPT blades, particularly whether it comes from High-Pressure Compressor (HPC) air. There is some confusion about whether the poster is looking for research facilities for experiments or academic papers on the topic. Participants in the discussion seek clarification on the specific needs of the poster. The thread highlights the importance of understanding cooling systems in turbine design.

Hi there, i am currently working in an airline industry but unfortunately do not have enough facilities to carry out my research on the HPT Blades and its cooling holes of an Engine.

Would anybody help me on this matter?

Thanks

It's a little unclear what you are asking. Do you want to find turbine research facilities to perform your own experiments in or are you looking for papers on the subject?

Sorry, i have noted that there are cooling system in a particular HPT Blade design basically for CFM56-5C. Just wanted to know if someone could provide simulation in which where the cooling air came from (e.g internal cooling of HPT came from the HPC air and etc.

Tnx

Thread 'Physics of Stretch: What pressure does a band apply on a cylinder?'
Scenario 1 (figure 1) A continuous loop of elastic material is stretched around two metal bars. The top bar is attached to a load cell that reads force. The lower bar can be moved downwards to stretch the elastic material. The lower bar is moved downwards until the two bars are 1190mm apart, stretching the elastic material. The bars are 5mm thick, so the total internal loop length is 1200mm (1190mm + 5mm + 5mm). At this level of stretch, the load cell reads 45N tensile force. Key numbers...
I'm trying to decide what size and type of galvanized steel I need for 2 cantilever extensions. The cantilever is 5 ft. The space between the two cantilever arms is a 17 ft Gap the center 7 ft of the 17 ft Gap we'll need to Bear approximately 17,000 lb spread evenly from the front of the cantilever to the back of the cantilever over 5 ft. I will put support beams across these cantilever arms to support the load evenly
