SILVER CITY —The New Mexico Environment Department is looking into what caused a strange milky white rain to fall on Grant County Monday.

Area residents noticed the unusual rain as it left white puddles and a white, almost sticky residue everywhere.

I didn't hear about this and I live in New Mexico...hmmmm and that newspaper is even part of the same chain that mine is, so I'd think that it'd show up here. Anyways, my guess is something from windstorms (New Mexico=very very windy) Maybe gypsum for the White Sands.

I believe it was the summer of 2001 that I made a trip to Peru for my work. I was a private contractor doing automation engineering and programming for various companies, including Frito Lay.
